Efficient scattering model of multilayer systems with anisotropic films

We present an intuitive and efficient method for modeling light propagation in layered isotropic anisotropic media, which we call the Iterated Ray Method. Considering a single layer sandwiched between semi-infinite layers, infinite reflected transmitted rays are summed to obtain effective Fresnel coefficients center layer. Thus, system can be represented as two layers with boundary. The model is coupled recursive algorithm describe arbitrarily large same way. It numerically stable presence of evanescent waves computationally efficient, both terms operation counts vectorization. demonstrate its importance optical analysis optimization such those used photo-addressable liquid crystal cells, thin-film coatings, Bragg gratings, by measuring refractive index thickness thin azobenzene dye photo-alignment layer, PAAD-22E, on indium tin oxide coated glass slide.
